The couple, who married in 2005, was promoting their involvement in theJimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, for which they help build single-family homes in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. We’ll never fill their shoes, but we’re doing the best we can," Yearwood said of the former president and first lady.
