By the mid-1970s, her organizationwas moving 300 kilosof cocaine a month, worth about $80 million, and Blanco herself is estimated to have been responsible for the deaths ofdozensof people, if not more. Her charm and savagery helped her earn the nickname “The Cocaine Godmother.”

“Who is the one in charge?” asks one man.

Finally, Griselda herself is revealed, quietly glaring, before the teaser cuts to the show’s title and the ominous background music crescendoes.

Griselda’scast features Alberto Guerra as Dario Sepúlveda, Christian Tappan as Arturo Mesa, Martín Rodríguez as Rivi Ayala, Juliana Aidén Martinez as June Hawkins and Vanessa Ferlito as Carmen Gutiérrez.

Guest stars include Carolina Giraldo aka Karol G playing Carla, Fredy Yate as Chucho Castro, Paulina Dávila as Isabel, with José Zúñiga as Amilcar and Camilo Jiménez Varón as Rafa Salazar.

In addition to starring in the series, Vergara is also executive producing the show.
