2023 wasTaylor Swift’s year — and Pennsylvania is celebrating her for it.

On Wednesday, which also happened to be the star’s 34th birthday, Pennsylvania lawmakers approved a resolution recognizing 2023 as the Taylor Swift era in her home state.

The resolution said that Swift has “transcended the role of pop star,” according tothe Associated Press. It also recognizes her accomplishments in the past year, like being named TIME’s Person of the Year, and said she “shines as a role model of courage, self acceptance and self-determination, persisting in the face of personal and professional obstacles and challenges.”

Democratic Rep. Maureen Madden of Monroe County was a big supporter of the measure and showed appreciation for the singer’s influence on younger generations.

“I turn 64 years old today, and I think about who’s going to carry on our legacy. She’s not popular because she writes break-up songs,” Madden said on the House floor, according to the outlet. “She’s popular because the largest demographic of people eligible to vote, the 18- to 24-year-old demographic, listens to her and does what she says.”

Though Swift left the Keystone state when she was a teenager to pursue her musical dreams in Nashville, she’s included references to Pennsylvania in songs like “Gold Rush,” “Seven” and “Christmas Tree Farm.”

In May, Nashville’s Mayor’s officeissued a proclamation"recognizing Taylor Swift homecoming weekend" as she arrived for her Eras Tour stop. In addition to the proclamation, the city also installed a park bench in Centennial Park with a plaque reading, “For Taylor Swift. A bench for you to read on Centennial Park. Welcome home, Nashville.”

The park bench is a reference to her song “Invisible String,” which was featured on her 2020 albumfolklore. In the track, Swift sings, “Green was the color of the grass/Where I used to read at Centennial Park/I used to think I would meet somebody there.”

Stars includingGigi Hadid,Blake Lively,Jack Antonoff,Sabrina Carpenter,Gracie Abrams,Este Haim,Alana Haim,Zoë KravitzandAntoni Porowski, among others, stepped out to Swift’s party, as did her longtime friendAbigail Anderson— all of whom are pictured hanging with the “Karma” singer on Instagram.

Miles Tellerand his wifeKeleigh Sperryalso attended the celebration, according to photos taken outside Manhattan nightclub The Box, where the party was held following a dinner at Freemans restaurant.

“Can’t believe this year… actually… happened? Thank you for all your beautiful birthday wishes yesterday,” wrote Swift on Instagram, reflecting on her many accomplishments of 2023: launching the Eras Tour, breaking records with its theatrical film and releasing bothSpeak Now (Taylor’s Version)and1989 (Taylor’s Version), among others.
