A park-goer is suingUniversal Orlandofor alleged negligence after she fell off the Caro-Seuss-El ride and allegedly sustained “permanent injuries.”
She was visiting the Orlando, Fla. theme park from São Paulo, Brazil, with her husband, Rafael, and daughter in June 2022 when the incident occurred.
As a result of the fall, the suit claims Juliana sustained “severe personal injuries” and has accumulated medical expenses for her treatment. The family is asking for damages amounting to more than $50,000.
A representative for Universal Orlando did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’S request for comment.

The family is also seeking compensation for the impact that the fall has allegedly had on each member.
Their daughter, Giovana, has also allegedly “suffered extreme emotional trauma” after witnessing her mom’s fall and riding in the ambulance with her after the incident.
The filing claims that Universal Orlando is directly responsible for the damages due to “the actions and inactions of its agents, apparent agents, including, but not limited to, the employees who were responsible for maintaining and supervising the park.”
According to Universal’sRider Safety guidelines, “Ride Warning Signs can be found at the entrance of each ride.” The site advises riders read health and safety requirements for each ride and know their physical limitations before boarding.
Specificguidelines for Caro-Seuss-el posted onlinestate riders “must be able to take a step up and onto the carousel platform and climb onboard the Seussian creature, either independently or with assistance from your companion.” Chariots are available for riders with various physical limitations and infants.
