Streep, 74, received her record 33rd-career nomination for a Golden Globe when she was nominated for best supporting actress (musical, comedy or drama) for her role in Hulu’sOnly Murders in the Buildingat theawards show’s upcoming 81st ceremonyon Monday.
According to the Globes’official website, Streep set the record as the most-nominated actor of all time when she received her 30th nomination. She is also the actor with the most all-time wins at the Globes, having won nine total.

The awards show also noted as it announced its 2024 nominees that Streep andJodie Foster, who was nominated for her role in Netflix’sNyad, have both been nominees or winners at the awards in every decade since the 1970s.
Foster, 61, is nominated alongsideEmily Blunt(Oppenheimer),Danielle Brooks(The Color Purple),Julianne Moore(May December),Rosamund Pike(Saltburn) andDa’Vine Joy Randolph(The Holdovers) in best supporting actress in a movie forNyad, in which she costars with best actress (drama) nomineeAnnette Bening.

Barbiereceived nine total nominations on Monday and leads among films in total nominations;Oppenheimerfollowed with eight, andKillers of the FlowerMoonandPoor Thingsboth received seven nominations. On the television side, Streep’sOnly Murders in the Buildingreceived five nods along withThe Bear, whileSuccession’s final season received nine total nominations.

The awards show addedtwo new categories this year: cinematic and box office achievement in motion pictures and best stand-up comedian on television. January’s awards show will mark the Golden Globes' first air date under Dick Clark Productions and holding companyEldridge, whichpurchased the rights and assetsto the long-running awards show in June.
The 2024 Golden Globe Awards will air live on CBS Sunday, Jan. 7, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET, directly after anNFL on CBSSunday doubleheader. The show will also stream on Paramount+ and be available on the CBS app.
