On Tuesday, the new mom, 36, shared that 10-month-old Tristan was actually sick with his first bad cold over the holiday, and she was left feeling “helpless” amid the stressful time away from home.
“All bundled up 🤍 Tristan’s first Thanksgiving didn’t really go as planned 🥹,” Heather began herInstagrampost. “Our sweet bear came down with a bad cold, his first one ever, and of course we weren’t at home for it- we were in the mountains where I grew up and I’m not going to lie, this was definitely not how I saw his first Thanksgiving going.”
“I know the holidays, for a lot of people, can be a little unexpected so if yours didn’t go as planned either- you’re definitely not alone but I hope everyone else had a happy & healthy Thanksgiving weekend 🤍.” she concluded.
In Heather’s first photo the reality star had a glum look on her face while Tristan, in the second snap, still managed to smile in his cuddly hooded fleece with bear ears.

“We have so much to be thankful for this year but above everything, we’re thankful for the health & happiness of our family and friends,” Tarek and Heather wrote in ajoint Instagram post. “Today is special because not only do we get to be around family but we get the chance to take a moment and reflect on the beautiful life we’ve created.”
