What ’s mythical about this urban mushroom farm is n’t just that it produces 200 pounds of mushroom in just a few calendar week using recycled java grounds . It ’s also that it ’s small enough and attractive enough to posture in a lobby , a storefront , or any other public indoor space .
This is the latest installing feature at the studio apartment of Seattle ’s Olson Kundig Architects . The tent mushroom-shaped cloud farm contains 215 oyster mushroom cloud growbags , happily feeding on donated used coffee evidence . Since it ’s burn right in a Seattle storefront , it ’s a nifty fashion to publicize the benefits of urban USDA . I would n’t mind seeing such endearing little farms everywhere I went .
