Do you create arresting videos with your action television camera ? Videos where youcareen through a canyon at death - defying speeds , or“ride ” your tiny model railroad train ? GoPro wants to certify those telecasting to advertisers looking for agiotage footage , and pay you for the privilege .

The company just open a newfangled GoPro Licensing portal , where you could actually already find those accurate pieces of footage for sale . Prices commence at $ 1,000,according to Adweek , though a lot will depend on where a prospective client wants to exhibit the footage , and for how long — much like with Getty Images , Shutterstock and other stock multimedia sites .

Crucially , it ’s not clean how much of that money GoPro will keep , and how much it will share with content creators . But if the full term are good , it seems pretty probable that we ’ll see more GoPro footage popping up in ad . Footage that might have originally been flash by athlete , daredevils and TV professionals for their own pleasure — not just by creative agencies looking to betray the latest mind .
