According to a Facebook executive , the mark of today ’s DDOS attack on Twitter , Facebook , LiveJournal , YouTube and other social medium site was one pro - Georgian blogger going by the username of “ Cyxym . ” No tidings as to who was behind the attack .
Earlier today several competing societal net banded together to fight the DDOS attacks on their various properties . Google and Facebook were able to keep the effects minimal while Twitter and others lose periodic outage and severe backwardness through out the day .
