Some Burger King customer were left at sea and truly a little freaked out this morning when they fire up up to a receipt for afast food orderin their electronic mail — except they did n’t regularise any food , and the receipt is completely blank .
Listen , we ’ve all ordered debauched food in the center of the dark — no disgrace there . But some Burger King customer were left rub their heads upon invite a mysterious receipt last night in their e-mail for a meal they never order . Even more odd , the receipt is n’t even for solid food : It ’s completely blank . Some people took to Twitter to partake their experiences and voice their confusion .
Caitlyn Ramos , an author in New York , recount me on the phone that she erase Burger King ’s app yesterday good afternoon but received two of the phantom email last nighttime . Christian Lathem share a similar experience , excuse that his girlfriend shared the electronic mail with him , and after checking his inbox , he found he received one last night as well . Lathem is a musician based in the United Kingdom . Annika Gibson from Ohio share a similar story . She invite the receipt at 12:09 AM and has n’t place an order on the Burger King app since August 2 .

Mike Marich in New Jersey was actually able to get in touch with Burger King regarding the white receipt electronic mail … sort of . Marich receive the initial blank receipt e-mail at 12:09 a.m overnight , and he reached out to client help via the Burger King app — he excuse to me on the earpiece that Burger King had no customer service telephone number or contact promptly usable on their internet site . Shortly after he reached out , Marich received another email designate that the troupe had give him a repayment for $ 23.74 . The odd part here is that since Marich ’s “ most recent order ” was a blank receipt , he was refunded for his second most recent rescript , which he confirm to me was placed all the manner back in November .
It appear that these emails were sent out in one fell swoop , around midnight , with some customers receive multiple emails . While this is certainly a mysterious happening , give that these emails all went out at once , it ’s likely that this is more of a system glitch on Burger King ’s end and less of a drudge from a third party , which the ship’s company confirmed to me via email , posit : “ We are mindful of the number , which was the result of an national processing error . ”
