Bella Hadidhelped her boyfriendThe Weekndcelebrate his 29th birthday at his army fatigue-themed bash on Friday night, an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
“1 minute tilmy favorite day of the year…. @theweeknd,” the model wrote beside one photo of the pair, which was shared late on Friday night, shortly before her boyfriend’s special day began.
“Happy birthday daddy,” she cheekily captioned another shot of the pair.
Hours later, on the singer’s actual birthday, she went on to share additional images of the pair posing together, captioning them, “BIRTHDAY BABY” and “HAPPY🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤.”

The couple arrived at the bash around 1 a.m. and wereaffectionateand posed for many photos together, an onlooker tells PEOPLE, adding that throughout the night, The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) could be seen holding the model around her waist and kissing her.
Most everybody in attendance — which includedKourtney Kardashian’s former fling Luka Sabbat — dressed according to the theme, and even the musician’s three-tier cake looked ready to go off into battle, says the onlooker.
The Weeknd also showed off a new iced-out chain, which was covered in crosses and had a special message engraved on the back: “Who God Has Blessed, No Man Can Curse.” Hadid could also be seen rocking jewelry, including a thick braided diamond choker and a star-shaped ring, which she wore on her middle finger, the onlooker says.
The “Starboy” singer went on to share a sweet snap of Hadid’s bling at the bash, as he sweetly held her hand to better show of the ring.

Months earlier, the singer had also been on hand tocelebrate Hadid’s 22nd birthday, sharing a series ofsizzling snapshotsof the pair.
Each entry in The Weeknd’s slideshow was steamier than the last — from a video of the pair kissing at a bar, to cuddly shots in an art exhibit, to a shot of the singer standing over Hadid as she reclined in a bathtub filled with rose petals.
“Happy birthday Angel,” he captioned the shots, adding black and red emojis.
After a year and a half together, The Weeknd and Hadidsplit in November 2016beforerekindling their romancein 2018.
