Looks like the iBook is n’t the only Apple motorcar getting an update today , although the new Powermac is n’t exactly an upgrade . The raw model is a lowly - terminal selection taking the place the sr. G4 Powermacs once occupy , with a single 1.8GHz G5 mainframe and a 600MHz frontside motorcoach ( the duple 1.8GHz model has a 900MHz bus , for comparability ) for just $ 1,500 . I ca n’t find anything that makes it cleared whether or not this new simulation can afterwards be raise with the addition of a second mainframe , but I severely doubt it . If it does allow an rise in the future , it might provide a nice alternative to one of the new unconditional - gore iMac G5s . If it does n’t , the difference between the two machines wo n’t be as judge .
