This week ’s storms have shut out off power , and have dropped torrential pelting across multiple State Department , and it ’s look like that realm is in for another bout this good afternoon .
“ A few tempest throughout the central and eastern Gulf Coast may also be open of containing damaging wind gusts , large hail , and a few tornadoes today,”an alertfrom the National Weather Service ( NWS ) said . “ The alive weather will not conclude tonight as another round of intense electrical storm are possible on Friday , while carry farther Northwest into the Lower Mississippi Valley as well . ”
Aone - day outlookfrom the NWS highlighted that the risk of hail and thunderstorms will continue from this afternoon and into tonight for the South and Central Plains . “ The greatest storm coverage could occur from southern Mississippi into southerly Alabama and north Florida / far southern Georgia , ” the alert said . “ hailstone greater than 2 inches in diam and wind gusts above 80 miles per hour will be potential along the more vivid parts of a tight - moving line of storm . ”

North Texas and Oklahoma are expected to see some of the more severe atmospheric condition this afternoon and tonight . Multiple cities including Oklahoma City , Wichita Falls , and Lawton are all under restrained and enhanced danger of severe storms .

Over in Alabama , more than 45,000 customer are without tycoon , and over 14,000 customers are currently powerless in Mississippi . More than 13,000 customer in Texas are powerless this dawn .
