Lead Shot
I have a Canon Rebel EOS Xti DSLR photographic camera . The story of the shot is a fun one . If you take a look at the photo you will notice that it is someone sitting on the toilet with their pants around their ankles … .. that person is me . My Modern small puppy decided she wanted to repose inside my pants while I did my business in the loo . When I attend her residue he head on my waistband I whisper to my wife to get the camera . I put it up , fructify the timer , put the tv camera on the floor and snapped this shot of little Betty slack with her Dad in the toilet . She makes a footling bed for herself in my pants every time I go to the john , she is one courageous puppy . I love this photo of our little Betty .

Sneak Attack
Nikon D90 , Nikon 35 mm f/1.8 AF - S DX , 1/60 , f4 . So our brindle African tea named Moxie perfectly loves her blue strand . We ’ve spent believably a hundred dollar on cat-o'-nine-tails toy , but no , she loves this strand more than anything . She pulled it out of one of my blue sweatshirt and has been playing with it ever since . In this case , she burrow herself under our doormat to hide from her enemy / best champion poise in attack position .
[ Ed bank bill : For anyone who ’s attempt to get the Arabian tea peeking from under something while wreak with something shoot , you make out Chris smash this one , and the amobarbital sodium mirrored in the middle just heigtens the whole effect . ]

Stock Trader
Nikon D700 , Nikon 24 - 70 2.8 , Aperture priority , f 2.8 , 1/30 . Had my frenchy , Dakerr lay down on his favorite smirch , and put my laptop in front of him . He start frightened and bunk off at first but eventually he got used to it after sniff and licking it for a good 20 minute . I put his manus on the keyboard and essay taking moving-picture show laying in front of him but every metre I tried to take his picture he ’d seem at the television camera and not the covert . So I had a treat on my left hand wave it in front of him behind the CRT screen and took pictures with my right wing .
[ Ed promissory note : believably captured at the 24 mm end of the lens , which add a lot of deepness / quality to the shot . ]

Kid Chameleon
This is Calcifer , our Veiled Chameleon . He ’s named after the character in Howl ’s Moving Castle . Due to his territorial nature , he can flatten out his body like a satellite lulu , rock back and forth while curling his tail in and out and hiss audibly if he thinks that you are approaching in an invasive manner to his space . He ’s nothing unforesightful of a mini dinosaur with the sinewy claws and can not be deal without leather glove . He ’s 3.5 year old . In this photo I had taken him outside to our backyard for some natural rain drinking , but he was more interested in hating the tv camera or else . This is his angry cheek .
[ erectile dysfunction bank bill : colour , grain , anger – all the necessary elements to artistic creation and PET are here . ]

Tail on the Trail
We break on a speedy hike this weekend at my wife ’s parent ’s house . We decide to take their dog , who is usually the otiose dog in the world . However when we got out onto the trail , she turned into a whole new beast ! She would pass up onwards and then wait for us to catch up . As soon as she would see us , she would dart ahead again . It was a great deal of merriment .
[ male erecticle dysfunction note : Any dog owner knows this view well . ]

Blue Steel
Sasha is a four year former tortoise cuticle mix who was rescue from a college campus . Perhaps grateful for being taken off the streets , she is always willing to pose for the television camera . This was taken with a Canon 5D with 100 mm f/2.8 USM Macro at ISO 400 , Shutter Priority mode at 1/160th second & f/2.8 .
[ erectile dysfunction greenback : I thought I could make it through these review without fall back to infant talk , but it ’s becoming difwicult . ]

Dog At Is Sunset
I took my dog Suki to the beach the other day after workplace to endeavor to get a dig of her for the challenge . It was overcast , and the sun had already gone below the horizon , however , so I had very little rude light to work with . I decide to attempt to mimic the tone of the directional , gold lightness of a setting sun using an off - camera speedlight , rank about 20 or 30 ft from our position and mousse orange . I used a wide slant lens , got in nigh to Suki , and kept the camera low-spirited to the priming to give her a powerful presence in the frame while fascinate a lot of environment around her . Suki has a very heroic and fearless look , which I think she convey well here by her surefooted posture and sharp gaze . hold with a Nikon D300s + Tokina 11 - 16 millimetre f/2.8 at 11 mm f/5.6 , 1/125 second ISO200 .
[ Ed note : marvellous conception that , though you ’d conceive could be esoteric , comes through in the jibe pre - explanation . ]

Belle’s Yearbook Photo
Canon T2i , Canon 50 mm 1.8 Lens , 5.6 Aperture , Speed 1/1000 , ISO 400 , 1 K light with chimera . All 3 images are were shot with the same preferences , on a green screen . Just like a gamey school day pic shoot . Treats were used to keep the dog focused . For her senior picture , Belle prefer ‘ The Lasers ’ because that s what all the cool kids were doing . After all , its 1987 , and lasers are radical .
[ Ed note : Brilliant cropping seal the faux authenticity . ]

The Weight of Being
I shot this photo with a Nikon D40 , ISO amphetamine 1600 , F - stop at 4.5 , and shutterspeed at 1/25 sec . This is my bulldog , Dazie . She is a very friendly and well - behaved pet and you could often incur her laying like she is in this picture ( bulldogs incline to enjoy rest ) . She seems to have become very adoring of the camera over the years and many metre it almost feels like she get for it . My technique was clean simple . I laid down on the floor in like a shot in front of her and placed the camera on insipid on the background ( to capture this exact face - to - nerve angle and for stabilization because of the low shutterspeed .
[ male erecticle dysfunction note : Bulldogs have such photogenic character . ]
-Joseph Mikos

Pursuit of Happiness
Nikon D3000 , 18 - 55 mm outfit lens , ISO 1200 ( I want some grain ) , Shutter speed 1/640 . Every sunup , my standard poodle dog Emmie takes a “ victory lap ” around the backyard that she kick off with a jumbo leap over our flowerbed . I lay down in the grass , and gave my wife the thumbs up to countenance her out . I thought this shot really catch the inflammation in her face .
[ Ed notation : Like a comet ! ]

Puppy Dog Eyes
take with a Canon Rebel T1i , 50 mm f/1.8 lens , 1/200 sec exposure , f/1.8 ( I used Lightroom to aline the vulnerability up by +3 ) , and 400 ISO . This is Benjamin , our beagle . He was lying down in our bedchamber next to a windowpane . I get on the ground as well to get the camera at his eye spirit level , and pressed the shutter as soon as he looked in a different commission . I by choice used a dissipated shutter think that an underexposure might be a piece more compelling and different , but ultimately determine to adjust the photograph as demonstrate .
[ Ed note : Of all the “ puppy dog eyes ” expressive style shots , this was my fave . ]
-David Choi

Wink
Canon 7D , Sigma 30 mm f1.4 , ISO 1000 , 1/25 , f 2.0 . This is my cat Grace . She is 5 years old , and just a enceinte mush . She sleep together to be nigh to my married woman and I , so she is often found straddling the back shock absorber of the couch . This pic not only captures her favorite resting shoes , but more significantly her trademark wink , which she has been doing since she was a kitten .
[ Ed bank bill : Not only is the portrait howling , but the lines on the cushion and back rampart seem to accentuate the result . ]
-Michael Berndt

WINNER – Fetched
This photo was accept on my Nikon D5000 of my firedog Ollie ( who is a 1 class old German Shorthaired Pointer for those who care ) in a field down the route from me . It was a beautiful eventide and inside the forest sphere , ray of light just shone through the tree diagram creating a fantastic prosperous spectacle .
My blackguard was going genial , until finally hit across a stick , he then looked up extremely proud and happy with his discovery and I just managed to take the snap ( Raw and ISO 200 I remember ) . I got home and edited some of the food colour on iPhoto to make it look as close to the real event as possible and all in all quite huff 🙂
[ Ed note : A perfect portrait , game by the perfect mise - en - scène . terrific exposure . ]
